    JTD education is designed and delivered with the intention of families learning about the variety of options, seeing the full spectrum of birth experiences, and celebrating the diversity of families.

    Rest assured that any education option you choose will come with lots of resources and referrals to help you learn more and find trusted information. Each option includes at least one book and one companion workbook to support your learning during and after class.

  • Advocacy Skills & Plan Drafting

    Regardless of where you’re giving birth, learning how you can advocate for yourself/your family, creating a comforting environment, and building birth and postpartum plans can be a game changer for your experience.

    We’ll work together to face the fear of the unknown through content, discussions, sharing resources, and personal reflections to help you feel more confident and prepared than when you entered.

Weekend Express!

  • Families will learn how to navigate and advocate during their care and conversations; know their options and where to find credible information; and support their loved ones and create an oxytocin-boosting environment! This is offered as a virtual, weekend express series with multiple families.

    Day 1: Creating the Conditions for a Positive Experience + Labor & Comfort Measures

    Day 2: Birth Variations & Building Preferences + Prepping for Postpartum & Newborn Care

    • 1 book for the class

    • A 70 page companion workbook (with a “Tips for Partners” section!)

  • Saturday and Sunday 10am-1pm

HelloBirth Hypnobirth

  • Whether you want a home birth with no medication at all, a hospital birth and possibly an epidural, or are planning a cesarean- this series IS for you! With 12+ hours of interactive content; self-hypnosis and deep relaxation techniques; and helpful practice schedules this is a modern hypnobirthing approach that helps you approach birth, postpartum, and beyond with more confidence and ease! This is a small group series.

FAQs

  • It’s highly encouraged that your parent/co-parent/support person participate. Their attendance not only helps them get their questions answered or fears addressed as well but it can also help them in being better able to support you during birth and postpartum. With things like advocacy skills practice, relaxation and comfort techniques, birth preferences, and a companion workbook with a section specifically for partners they’ll have what they need to feel more prepared as well!

  • Yes! Please email jadeisthedoula@gmail.com if you’re interested in a payment plan. The earlier you register for a class the more flexible the options for paying over time.

    Additionally, if you have insurance or an FSA/HSA account, check your benefits to see if you are able to use that for reimbursement of your education registration!

  • You will receive your materials via USPS at least one week ahead of your first class date.

  • Attending all sessions in your series is important to make sure you get your questions answered and receive all the information and resources that are packed into each session.

    Understanding that work and life conflicts can come up unexpectedly, if you’re not able to make a session you’ll get access to a condensed/overview recording and you’ll have your companion materials and books.
